Spector Caldes & Corrigan (formerly known as Spector Roseman & Kodroff) has been appointed as interim Co-Lead Counsel for Plaintiffs in an action against IKEA North America Services LLC, IKEA Us Retail LLC, IKEA Property, Inc., Ingka Holding Overseas B.V., Ingka Procurement LL, Ingka Digital, LLC, Ingka Investments Real Estate US, LLC, and Ingka Holding B.V. (collectively “IKEA”).
This lawsuit arises from IKEA’s practice of increasing the prices it charged consumers to pass on the tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Plaintiffs allege that because these tariffs were unlawful, IKEA’s failure to refund these tariff payments to the proposed class is also unlawful and resulted in consumers paying higher prices for IKEA goods than they otherwise would have.
The matter is currently pending before U.S. District Court Judge Juan R. Sanchez in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. If you are in the United States and purchased products from IKEA from 2025 through the present, you may have overpaid because of the alleged scheme.
