NICHOLAS J. ALICATA is an associate with Spector Caldes & Corrigan and seeks to combine the thoroughness of the storied “Philadelphia Lawyer” with the doggedness and versatility needed to litigate all stages and kinds of complex matters. He joined the firm in March of 2026 and supports the Firm’s efforts in In re Apple Inc. Smartphone Antitrust Litigation, MDL 3113 (D. N.J.), and In re: da Vinci Surgical Robot Antitrust Litigation, 21-cv-03825-AMO (N.D. Cal.).

Prior to joining Spector Caldes & Corrigan, Nick was an associate at another national class action firm, where he focused on pharmaceutical antitrust litigation and represented end-payers, including Fortune 100 health insurers, in complex matters against pharmaceutical manufacturers.

His notable casework to date includes:

• In re: Generic Pharmaceutical Pricing Antitrust Litig., MDL 2724 (E. D. Pa.), which alleges that generic pharmaceutical companies conspired to fix prices and allocate customers as part of one of the broadest antitrust conspiracies in American history.
• Health Care Service Corp. v. Indivior Inc. et al., CL20-1474 (lead case), a matter that alleged that the makers of Suboxone committed antitrust and civil fraud violations aimed at preventing meaningful competition. The case settled days before trial and resulted in one of the largest pharmaceutical opt-out settlements to date.
• Nick has also supported trial preparation efforts in data privacy matters, such as Frasco v. Flo Health, Inc. et al., 3:21-cv-00757 (N.D. Cal.), a matter where a popular women’s health app was alleged to have disclosed sensitive information to third parties, including Meta and Google. The case resulted in favorable settlements with Flo and Google, and a jury verdict against Meta. Spector Caldes & Corrigan is co-lead counsel for the certified classes.

He earned his J.D. from Villanova University in 2023. While in law school, he focused on healthcare law and policy while working in the Interdisciplinary Mental and Physical Health Law Clinic. Nick also served as an intern for the Hon. Dominic Pileggi of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Criminal Law Section, as well as the Defender Association of Philadelphia.

Nick received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Economics from Stony Brook University in 2018 and was inducted as a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys riding motorcycles, exercising, supporting the Villanova Wildcats, and mediating conflicts with his cat.
