On July 17, 2018, the Court gave final approval to a $125 million settlement with the remaining defendants, American Gypsum Company LLC, Eagle Materials Inc., New NGC Inc., and PABCO Building Products LLC., in In re Domestic Drywall Antitrust Litigation, a nation-wide price-fixing case against the major U.S. drywall manufacturers, in which SRK is Co-Lead Counsel for direct purchaser plaintiffs. Combined with the previous settlements with USG, TIN and Lafarge SRK has achieved settlements totaling more than $190 million for direct purchasers of drywall. U.S. District Court Judge Michael Baylson praised “the highly skilled and experienced lawyers” from SRK and its co-counsel, noting the attorneys’ “sophisticated and highly professional approach” to conducting discovery and the “outstanding work of Plaintiffs’ counsel” in achieving this tremendous result for the class.”
